As you already may have heard, Brothers In Fight are going back to the roots, as a fun-clan. Lason and Wing will be the new leaders for the bif squad. They have been in the clan for ages and are allways online, so we think its a good choice. And they wanted to job them self, so it wasnt hard choice And we took Toejam as Co Leader because he is one of our oldest members and he knows everybody in the clan pretty well. The only reason why we dint take him as Squad leader is that he aint playing that much dods anymore.. If he was a bit more active in dods he would have been one of my choices.

Its time for a change

We are going to make a change in bif. The creation of a new war clan called in4Ktiv. It will prevent frequent substitutions in clanwars and put 6-8 players together who all want to spend the same high & frequent amount of time playing clanwars against good opponents.
Bif was allways a funclan and a place for friends and brothers in fight Wink

with no pressure to be active and play tactical wars, and so we hope you all stay. It is important you dont think we are desserting the clan and dont want nothing to do with bif, on the contrary. This was a very hard descition to make for us, caus' we really like you guys and enjoy spending time with you. Besides, this will not change much, only to some extend in terms of clanwar, and there is nothing stopping us from putting on the bif tag and play some funwars with you guys. And how far you want to take with the clanwars are intirely up to you. We will share a war-server, and we will provide ventrilo and a 24 slot public server running maps of your choice, from the 1st of next month.

We - schrimp and nestor - will continue to be founders and actual owners of bif. This leaves a coupple of emtpy spots open for the job as clanleader (and perhaps war-arranger). If you think this is for you please let us know Smile

There will be few obligations, our expectations would only extend to:

- Be fairly active
- Stay objective
- Keeping good tone and moral.
- Giving serious thoughts when recruiting new members
- Have a big weenie

We did all this with the best intentions and are sorry if it causes any harm. Our hope was allways that bif would remain. Besides we will still be bif in spirit and daily appearence. You can allways ask us if you want to "crack it up a notch" by playing with us. Unless you bif guys rise and take us out Wink

Enemy Down Day of Defeat Source League Season #3 - Beta Knockout Cup

After much delay we are pleased to announce that the Knockout Stages of the third season of the EDDODSL are now ready to be concluded.

Event Information:

The top two teams from groups 1-4 will be entered into the Alpha Knockout Cup.

The top two teams from groups 5-8 will be entered into the Beta Knockout Cup.

The Quarter Finals will take place on Thursday 5th February at 19:00 GMT, each team must post their map choice in the fixture comments at least 48 hours before the scheduled fixture date. (Before Tuesday 3rd February - 19:00 GMT)

£200 will be awarded to the winners of the Alpha Knockout Cup.

£75 will be awarded to the winners of the Beta Knockout Cup.

Event Schedule:

Quarter Finals
Thursday 5th February - 19:00 GMT

Semi Finals
Thursday 12th February - 19:00 GMT

Grand Finals
Thursday 19th February - 19:00 GMT

Event Rules:

1 - All normal Enemy Down & specific DoD Source rules apply unless otherwise stated in this section.

2 - It is the away team's responsibility to contact the home team to test their server at least 48 hours prior to the fixture's date.
The away team may request to play the second map on their own server.

3 - Rescheduling will only be allowed in circumstances where a team cannot field six green-ticked players. A team wishing to re-schedule must contact an admin at least 72 hours before the fixture's preset date.

4 - Full Cap scoring must be used, if full caps are level at the end of a match the winner is decided on whoever has accumulated more tickpoints.

5 - The ed15.cfg must be used for all matches.

6 - Default victories are awarded as DEF-0.

7 - In-eye demos must be recorded regardless of if a recording SourceTV server is present. X-ray is not required in this event.

8 - Demos, end-round and 'rcon status' screenshots must be kept for the duration of the event plus one month.

9 - zBlock must not be used, this also includes any plugin/addon that alters the settings enforced by the official match config.

Team's that are unable to follow the above rules should expect to default their match and thus be eliminated from the event.
